Lily Stockman: Minotaur was published on the occasion of the eponymous exhibition at Fondation Le Corbusier – Maison La Roche. Stockman’s fascination with Le Corbusier’s work traces back to her student years when she learned to paint at Harvard University’s Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, the architect’s only building in North America. When invited to exhibit in the distinctive setting of Maison La Roche, Stockman embraced the opportunity to engage directly with its space, drawing inspiration from the architect’s color palette. Like ancient symbols reimagined for the future, the eleven paintings exhibited come alive within the luminous minimalism of the building. Pulsing with vivid hues, chromatic harmonies, and enigmatic forms, they animate the sleek walls and polished surfaces, creating a dynamic dialogue between art and space.

Both the exhibition and publication have been conceived and produced by MASSIMODECARLO.
